About Philip McRae
Philip McRae, a native of Chesterfield, Missouri, serves as the Director and Head of Hockey for the TPH St. Louis. During the 2004-2005 season, he secured a Tier-I USA Hockey National Championship as a member of the 15U St. Louis AAA Blues. He also won a Mid-States High School Hockey championship that same year while competing for Christian Brothers College High School.
Following his local youth success, McRae played junior hockey for the US National Team Development Program and the London Knights. Regarding his time in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), he served as a team captain and earned two selections to the OHL All-Star Game. Specifically, his leadership and scoring ability on the ice established him as a premier prospect for the professional ranks.
In 2008, the St. Louis Blues selected McRae 33rd overall in the second round of the NHL Entry Draft. Today, he utilizes his extensive professional experience to lead the hockey operations and player development initiatives at the TPH Academy in St. Louis. Consequently, he provides local student-athletes with the high-level mentorship necessary to advance their own careers within the sport.
