About Ben Perkins
Ben Perkins is a dedicated youth soccer professional with over 15 years of coaching experience, including eight years within the Saint Louis Scott Gallagher (SLSG) Youth Academy.
Ben currently serves as the SLSG Boys Youth Director / Boys Youth Academy Director and U11 Boys Academy Head Coach, playing a key role in shaping the foundation of player development during the most critical formative years. His responsibilities include leading curriculum development, supporting coaching staff, and creating age-appropriate learning environments that foster both individual growth and a genuine love for the game.
A lifelong member of the SLSG family, Ben developed as a player within the club before continuing his career at Lindenwood University, where he competed for the NAIA National Championship in 2001.
With a strong emphasis on long-term player development, Ben is passionate about helping young athletes grow both on and off the field—building confidence, character, and positive habits that extend beyond soccer. He holds a USSF Grassroots Coaching License and brings a development-first mindset rooted in his lifelong connection to SLSG and the game.
