About Lisa Wasmer

Lisa Wasmer is a compassionate and innovative educator with over 25 years of experience at Truman Middle School. With a master’s in Secondary English Education and a passion for student growth, she has created original, high-impact courses that blend literacy, life skills, and character development.
Known for her ability to build trust and meet every student where they are, Lisa leads with empathy and excellence. She serves as department chair, a member of the Truman Leadership and Lindbergh Learning Teams, and has been a vital support in reading and writing interventions.

Lisa’s dedication, creativity, and kindness make her not just an outstanding teacher—but a true difference maker.
