About Shane Prince

Shane Prince joins TPH Nashville as a Player Development Coach, bringing over a decade of high-level professional experience to the Academy’s student-athletes. Prince’s journey began in the Ontario Hockey League with the Ottawa 67’s, where he established himself as a premier offensive talent, culminating in his selection by the Ottawa Senators in the second round of the 2011 NHL Draft.

His distinguished career includes 128 NHL games with the Ottawa Senators and New York Islanders. Beyond North America, Prince built an extensive international resume, competing in the KHL, the Swiss National League, and representing his teams in various international competitions. Throughout more than 700 professional games, he earned numerous accolades, including AHL Second All-Star Team honors, AHL All-Star Game selection, and KHL Forward of the Month recognition. Additionally, he led the KHL in game-winning goals and helped Dinamo Minsk secure a Belarus Cup Championship.

Now transitioning into his role at TPH Nashville, Prince is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of players. He leverages his firsthand knowledge of the professional ranks to help athletes develop the habits, hockey IQ, and confidence necessary to excel at higher levels of the game.
