About Rick Gadwa
Rick Gadwa, a native of Hartland, Michigan, currently serves as the Manager of Operations and Programming at the TPH Academy Detroit. Before his current role, he graduated from Hartland High School and eventually returned to lead the varsity boys’ hockey program. He served as the head coach for sixteen seasons and secured three MHSAA state titles during his tenure.
Regarding his collegiate career, Gadwa graduated from Davenport University, where he competed as a standout player for four years. Following his playing days, he became a prominent leader in the Michigan hockey landscape as the director of Michigan Hockey Advancement (MHA). This specialized program has successfully helped dozens of high school prospects advance to the junior, collegiate, and professional levels.
Today, Rick continues to reside in Hartland with his significant other, Vanessa, and their children. Consequently, he remains deeply committed to developing local talent and improving the competitive standard of hockey across the entire state of Michigan. His extensive coaching and operational experience provide a strong foundation for his leadership at the TPH Detroit location.
