About Mike Tate
Mike Tate has been a prominent figure in Michigan youth hockey for over 35 years. Throughout his career, he has successfully played and coached at nearly every competitive level of the sport. He has contributed to six State Championships and one National Championship title as both a player and a coach.
Regarding his impact on the sport, Mike has shared his deep passion and dedication with countless athletes across the region. Furthermore, he has mentored his two sons, who currently compete at the AAA level within the Detroit hockey system. His extensive experience provides him with a unique understanding of the local landscape and the path to elite success.
Today, Mike serves as a vital member of the TPH Academy staff, where he mentors student-athletes on a daily basis. Consequently, he utilizes his decades of knowledge to foster a positive and disciplined environment for aspiring hockey players. He remains committed to helping every athlete reach their full potential through high-level skill development and strategic coaching.
