About Jimmy Law
As a West Chester, PA native, Jimmy Law is deeply driven to develop high-performing hockey players throughout the greater Philadelphia area with TPH Academy. Previously, Jimmy served as the Assistant Strength Coach for the prestigious USA Hockey National Team Development Program (NTDP) in Plymouth, Michigan. In this role, he collaborated with innovative strength coaches and elite American-born players while utilizing the latest cutting-edge technology in sports performance.
Before entering the professional coaching ranks, Jimmy grew up playing local youth hockey for the Quakers and Malvern Preparatory School. Subsequently, he attended the University of Pittsburgh to study Exercise Science while competing for their ACHA Division 1 hockey program. In 2017, he successfully earned his Master’s degree in Health and Fitness from Pitt to further solidify his scientific expertise.
Early in his career, Jimmy worked at HPATC as the Jr. Flyers Strength and Conditioning Coach and an on-ice assistant. In 2019, he accepted a dual-role position with the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite as their Lead Performance Coach and Girls Midget assistant. Later, in 2022, Jimmy transitioned into his performance role with Compuware while simultaneously supporting the developmental efforts of the NTDP.
