Doug Shepherd

Doug Shepherd was born and raised in Newfoundland. He graduated from RPI, where he was the Assistant Captain. As a player, he captured two now CCHL Championship rings, earned recognition as an NCAA Academic All-American, competed in multiple ECAC Championship tournaments, and experienced the challenge of professional hockey. Doug transitioned into scouting and player development roles with the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets, the University of Prince Edward Island Men’s Program, and the AHL’s Manitoba Moose. Since 2015, he has built a second career as an NHLPA Certified Player Agent with Achieve Sports Management. He’s worked as a skating and development coach for over a decade, training and refining the skills of some of the NHL’s top stars. A co-founder in 23Hockey, Doug leads programming, offering players at every level—the tools to elevate their game.
