Shannen Rook

Shannen Rook serves as Head of Academics for TPH Academy Columbus, bringing 23 years of experience in education, student support, and mentorship. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Ohio University and a Master of Education from Cambridge College in Boston. She also holds a Gifted Intervention Specialist certificate, equipping her to support a wide range of learning needs.

Throughout her career, Shannen spent 15 years teaching middle school English and the past eight years serving as a substitute school counselor. A former NCAA Division I volleyball player at Ohio University, she understands firsthand the dedication, time management, and mindset student-athletes need to succeed in the classroom and in their sport.

Shannen is passionate about helping student-athletes take ownership of their education. Through individualized guidance and mentorship, she empowers them to become independent learners, critical thinkers, and confident leaders prepared for their next level.
