About Martin Kubaliak
Martin Kubaliak, a native of Zvolen, Slovakia, developed his skills in the Slovakian youth hockey system before moving to North America. Following his arrival, he played two standout seasons with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League (WHL). These competitive years prepared him for a successful transition into the professional ranks of North American hockey.
Regarding his professional career, Martin competed in multiple high-level leagues, including the ECHL, the CHL, and the SPHL. After retiring as a player, he began coaching various age groups in 2014 to share his extensive knowledge with the next generation. This experience includes several seasons mentoring youth teams and helping young athletes develop their fundamental skills on the ice.
Today, Martin resides in Huntsville, Alabama, with his wife Larie, his daughter Marlie, and his son Mason. He remains a dedicated member of the local hockey community while balancing his coaching duties and family life. He continues to apply the discipline learned during his professional career to every team he leads.
