About Dwayne Blais
Dwayne Blais is a Founder of Total Package Hockey and a Player Development Consultant for the Detroit Red Wings. Specifically, he has spent over twenty-five years training athletes from youth levels to the National Hockey League (NHL). He also co-founded the National Skill Development Association to provide coaches with elite training resources and tactical video breakdowns.
Before becoming a consultant, Blais played for the University of Alabama-Huntsville and several professional minor league teams. After his playing days, he served as an assistant coach at Western University and with the Saint John Sea Dogs. These early roles helped him learn how to break down complex professional skills for aspiring young athletes.
Today, Dwayne creates innovative curricula that emphasize hockey IQ, deception, and high-speed execution. Furthermore, he remains a respected voice in the hockey community and TPH Academy through his frequent contributions to coaching clinics and development podcasts. He currently lives in London, Ontario, where he continues to mentor the next generation of hockey talent.
