About Denise Hatch

Denise Hatch is a dedicated and passionate educator with more than three decades of experience in education. Denise holds current certifications in the following areas; reading specialist (K-12), English as a Second Language, administration and elementary education. She is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all learners, and is skilled in curriculum development, classroom management, and utilizing modern educational technologies to enhance learning outcomes.

A native of Massachusetts, Denise attended the University of Massachusetts for her teaching degree as well as earning a Master’s degree in Literacy & Curriculum from Lesley University, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Reading from American International College. Prior to joining TPH and Boston Hockey Academy, Denise worked for thirty-four years as a teacher and instructional coach for the Maynard Public School System.

In addition to her work in education, Ms. Hatch has a son who plays college hockey, and has been involved with junior hockey for many years. Denise has also billeted over twenty-five junior hockey players from around the world, and knows firsthand the challenges student athletes face, especially when they are away from home. Denise is excited to support each student and his individual learning style. She is dedicated to motivating each student to self advocate, set and achieve individual goals, and develop resiliency when faced with challenges.

When not working, Denise can be found hanging out in Wells, Maine with her dogs, reading, gardening, or watching her son play hockey.

As the head of academics, Denise will play a major role in the players’ time at Boston Hockey Academy.
