About Paul Evans
After spending most of his youth in southern Florida, Paul Evans enrolled at the University of Colorado to study kinesiology and discover a passion for athletics. During his time in Colorado, he attended an inaugural season game for the Avalanche and subsequently developed a lifelong interest in the sport of hockey. After receiving both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from CU, he served as a minor league athletic trainer for several Colorado Rockies farm teams. Consequently, this experience provided him with a strong foundation in professional sports operations before he transitioned into a career as a teacher and Athletic Director.
Upon relocating his family to Indianapolis, Paul took a position with Indy Parks and has successfully managed the Perry Park Ice Arena for six years. During his tenure in both education and recreation, he has directed numerous athletic programs and managed a wide variety of complex sports facilities. Furthermore, Paul has completed several courses within the US Ice Rink Association curriculum while working toward his official certification as a Certified Ice Rink Manager. As a result of his expertise, he has been responsible for numerous improvements to local facilities and elevated the overall quality of the ice.
Paul is widely recognized for maintaining ice surfaces that are currently regarded as among the very best in the entire state of Indiana. He remains enthusiastic about the expanded opportunities provided by the Indiana State Fairgrounds facilities and the potential for growth within the local hockey community. Additionally, he is eager to restore the Indiana Farmers Coliseum to its historic role as the heart of hockey in the Hoosier State. Ultimately, his combination of athletic training, education, and facility management ensures that student-athletes at TPH Academy have access to a world-class environment.
