About Taylor Pyatt
Taylor Pyatt, a Thunder Bay, Ontario native and former professional hockey player, is a Player Development Coach and Mentor at TPH Academy Phoenix. After his youth career playing for the Thunder Bay Kings, he moved on to the OHL, where he played for the Sudbury Wolves. In 1999, he was the 8th overall NHL draft pick for the New York Islanders. Pyatt is a 14-year NHL veteran and has played for the New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabers, Vancouver Canucks, Phoenix Coyotes, New York Rangers, and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Following his NHL career, he went to Switzerland to play in the Swiss A League for Geneve Servette, winning the Spangler Cup with his team that year. Taylor helped coach the 2021-22 U15 Jr Coyotes to a Tier 1 league championship and the 2022-23 U16 Jr Coyotes to an appearance at nationals.
