About Mike Brown

Mike, born in Skokie, IL, played with the Skokie Flyers, Northbrook Bluehawks, and St Jude nights before playing AAA with the Chicago Young Americans for 3 years and winning a National Championship. He played midget for 1 year for Chicago Chill before going to the USNTDP program for 2 years and getting a scholarship to the University of Michigan, which he attended for 2 years. Brown was drafted in the 5th round, 159th overall, by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and played 9 years in the NHL for Vancouver, Anaheim, Toronto, Edmonton, San Jose, and Montreal. Mike was known for his physical fitness and toughness on and off the ice. Since Mike has retired from competition, he has been coaching and training at all levels. He enjoys riding his Harley and spending time outdoors in his free time.
