Kaity Fortney

Fortney has called both Alaska and Colorado her home, and has taught for 11 years in Colorado. She is a University of Alaska graduate and licensed Colorado educator. Fortney has worn many hats in education as both a classroom teacher and a curriculum trainer and developer. She has experience supporting students of all learning needs, and providing differentiated instruction for all subject areas, with specialized experience in working with students in small groups for reading and math support with various accommodations. The virtual world of education fell into her lap in 2020-2021, where she taught 46 students online. Fortney, her husband, and their two children, Mackenzie and Carson, keep busy with all things hockey. She looks forward to sharing her passion for education with TPH Academy’s unique learning community.
