About James Angelicola

James grew up playing his youth Hockey in Upstate New York in the Syracuse Stars Organization. Before moving onto Junior Hockey, James played Varsity Hockey for Fayetteville-Manlius High School. His Junior Hockey career included two seasons spent with the Syracuse Stars of the EMJHL, two seasons with the Rochester Stars of the EJHL, and one season with the Rochester Jr. Americans of the USPHL during the league’s inaugural season. James went on to play NCAA Division III Hockey for New England College and received All-Academic honors on multiple occasions. James also was a member of the Varsity Lacrosse Program at New England College while being named an NAC Champion and NCAA Tournament Participant. Following his Collegiate Ice Hockey career, James had a small stint in Professional Hockey with the Danville Dashers of the FHL.

James brings a passion for assisting players of all ages through skill development. His philosophy is that “if you are going to do something in life, do it at 100%”. His belief is that having that mentality will translate to more than just hockey but to all areas of life. A current on-ice Skills Instructor, James has several years of experience helping players develop their skill set and has assisted in running camps across the Rocky Mountain Region. James spent 5 seasons coaching High School Hockey in Colorado with the Cherry Creek Bruins as the Junior Varsity Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach. James is in his third season as a current Tier 1 Head Coach for the Colorado Thunderbirds leading the 13O team. James also has a background in Junior Hockey as a Scout serving as the Western Scout for several seasons for both the Worcester Railers of the USPHL NCDC and Philadelphia Rebels of the North American Hockey League.

James is a partner of Faceoff Factory, INC. and has been helping run Lacrosse camps for the past 9 years. He takes pride in communication and helping provide families with a great experience. Outside of the sports world, James enjoys hiking, golfing, and spending time with his family. James currently resides in Denver with his wife Hannah, daughter Stella, and dogs Willa and Woodford.
