Brad Schell grew up in Scott, Saskatchewan, and developed his skills playing AAA hockey in Western Canada. Following his youth career, the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL drafted him to join their roster. He played four seasons for the Chiefs and led the team in scoring with 92 points during the 2003-2004 season.

Regarding his professional achievements, the Atlanta Thrashers selected Schell in the sixth round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He later earned a reputation as a prolific scorer during the 2006-2007 season for the Gwinnett Gladiators in the ECHL. Specifically, he recorded a staggering 110 points in only 63 games to lead the league in scoring.

Today, Coach Schell utilizes his extensive high-level playing experience to mentor and develop the next generation of hockey talent. He currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife Kim and their two sons, Ryder and Gavin. He remains a vital part of the local hockey community through his coaching and leadership roles.
