RELM Sports Academy Powered by TPH Welcomes Nathan Gardiner as Director and Head of Academics
RELM Sports Academy Powered by TPH is pleased to share that Nathan Gardiner has been named Director and Head of Academics. This new addition to the team marks an exciting step forward as RELM and TPH Academy look to provide a top-tier education and athletic development program for aspiring elite student-athletes in the Eastern Ontario Region.

An Ontario local, Gardiner joins Team TPH with an impressive background that perfectly aligns with TPH’s mission to supercharge student-athlete development in both academics and athletics. With over a decade of teaching experience and expertise in educational program development, including STEAM program creation and management, Gardiner is well-prepared to cater to students from middle and high school levels to young adults. His diverse educational background positions him as a robust leader in the holistic development of RELM Sports Academy Powered by TPH student-athletes. With a background in volunteering and leadership, Gardiner sets a positive example for student-athletes to engage in community service and various mentorship opportunities provided at the Academy.

At the helm of the academic development at RELM Sports Academy Powered by TPH, Gardiner will play a crucial role in further advancing the academic programs, ensuring that student-athletes receive a well-rounded education that equips them with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in the classroom, in their sport, and in life. His dedication to student success and passion for creating a supportive learning environment make him the ideal candidate to lead student-athletes toward success in and beyond the game. Having graduated with honors at Wilfrid Laurier University before continuing to earn his Masters of Arts at Trent University, academic excellence is part of Gardiner’s DNA and his commitment to such will undoubtedly inspire the next generation of impact players.
As a former student-athlete, Gardiner possesses a unique insight into both the student and athlete perspectives, as well as their intersection. In his role as the Director and Head of Academics, Gardiner will play a key role in advancing programs and expanding offerings to provide student-athletes with enhanced opportunities to excel in their athletic endeavors while receiving a top-notch education.
