About Karen Laux
Karen Laux was born and raised in Mexico City. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and a Master’s in Marketing from La Salle University. Karen began her career in the high-tech industry at Silicon Graphics, Inc., focusing on Marketing. Her career took her to Japan, where she worked for Alias Wavefront before eventually moving to Silicon Valley.
After starting a family in the Santa Ynez Valley, Karen, her husband, and their two children relocated to Nashville in the summer of 2023. Over the past decade, Karen has dedicated herself to tutoring students across various educational levels while raising her children. She has been deeply involved in supporting her children’s hockey careers, from their early days in Mites through to Varsity. Her daughter is a freshman at the University of Tennessee – Knoxville, and her son plays for the Nashville Jr. Predators organization.
Karen’s passion lies in helping students achieve academic success and excel in hockey, where they learn the values of hard work and teamwork. Her involvement in numerous hockey organizations over the years has equipped her with the knowledge and experience to guide and support young athletes in reaching their goals.
