TPH Denver Welcomes Kyle Zentz as Lacrosse Development Coordinator
TPH Academy Denver is excited to share that Kyle Zentz has been named Lacrosse Development Coordinator. With 20 years of experience playing and coaching at the highest levels of lacrosse, Zentz will be in charge of TPH Academy Denver’s lacrosse programming.
“We are excited to welcome Kyle as Lacrosse Development Coordinator,” shared TPH Academy Denver Director, Jay Sprague. “He brings not only extensive knowledge and an impressive lacrosse background, but also an attitude towards development that will greatly benefit our student-athletes. Kyle is an incredible addition to the team and we look forward to the positive impact he will have on our student-athletes.”
Zentz grew up outside of Baltimore, MD and started playing lacrosse at nine years old. During his playing career at Westminster High School, Zentz was named high school All American and a finalist for the C. Markland Kelley award. Zentz went on to play Division II Lacrosse at Limestone College, where he was Team Captain of the 2002 National Championship Team. After college, Zentz began coaching at all levels, including elite high school and youth club lacrosse in both Maryland and Colorado. Since 2018, Zentz has had tremendous success as Head Coach of the 2030 Team91 Colorado Team and the 2030 Team91 National Team.
“I have a passion for making players better,” Zentz shared. “I have run skills clinics for thousands of lacrosse players across the country. I strongly believe that every rep matters and players need to practice with the same passion and energy required to play in games.”
Zentz has passed along his passion for athletics to his two children. His daughter Hartley is a competitive dancer and his son, Steele, plays lacrosse and hockey. Steele is in his second year as a student-athlete at TPH Denver.
“I have personally seen the growth and development TPH has provided my son, and my goal is to open this opportunity to even more lacrosse players,” shared Zentz. “TPH is unmatched when it comes to instilling the leadership and character traits required for athletes to meet their goals: discipline, accountability, and ownership.”
Zentz is committed to the development of student-athletes through foundational skills, habit building, concept development, and attention to detail that will set them apart from their competition. The addition of Kyle Zentz to the TPH Denver team will undoubtedly enhance the Lacrosse program and positively contribute to the growing success of TPH Academy student-athletes.
