TPH-Colorado Joins Forces with Avalanche and CAHA
As more and more women’s college hockey programs are being established, female hockey has become one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. As the demand for girls hockey grows, TPH-Colorado is joining forces with the Colorado Avalanche and the Colorado Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) to create some exciting new opportunities for the Girls Hockey community in Colorado.
With a shared commitment to supporting the long-term success of female hockey players in their home state, TPH, the Avs, and CAHA are stepping up to make the Center of Excellence (CoE) academy model more accessible to the next generation of aspiring-elite young women.
The Avalanche and CAHA have been consistent supporters of Team CO Girls Hockey, and now these two organizations will work with TPH to ensure the TPH Center of Excellence is more accessible to female student-athletes by ensuring affordable tuition for all interested girls hockey players.
“TPH is dedicated to growing the game of hockey within every community we serve,” said TPH-Colorado’s Executive Director, Jordan Pietrus. “Girls hockey is an integral part of Colorado’s hockey history as well as its future, and we as an organization want to help empower these young women to be successful as hockey players, students, and leaders.”
Hockey leaders in Colorado have already done a great job developing and moving on homegrown talent to NCAA college hockey. TPH hopes to further aid in the growth of local talent within Colorado to help those players develop, chase their dreams and take their academic and athletic careers to the next level.
All members of Colorado girls’ hockey are encouraged to attend TPH Girls Day to learn more about the CoE and everything the academic model can do for interested student-athletes. TPH Girls Day is a FREE immersive experience where attendees will take part in a video session, off-ice training, on-ice training and view a presentation about the CoE.
There are two opportunities to attend with the first day on June 10th at the Sport Stable in Superior, Co (click here to reserve your spot) and the second on June 12th at the South Suburban Rec Complex (click here to reserve your spot).
