TPH Academy Alumnus Kirsten Simms Called Up for Team USA in Hockey Rivalry Series
TPH Academy is thrilled to announce that TPH Detroit alumnus Kirsten Simms has been selected to represent the United States in the upcoming USA Hockey Rivalry Series against Canada. This incredible achievement is a testament to Kirsten's exceptional skills and dedication to the sport.

The highly anticipated two-game match-up, set to take place on December 14th at Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, home of TPH Academy Waterloo Region, will showcase the best of women's hockey talent from both sides of the border. Known for her impressive skills and dedication to the sport, Simms has consistently proven herself as a force to be reckoned with on the ice. Standing at 5-foot-6, Kirsten has made a significant impact on the ice while representing the University of Wisconsin as a star athlete. As a freshman in the 2022-23 season, she recorded an impressive 32 points in 41 games played for the Badgers. In the current 2023-24 season, Kirsten leads the team in scoring and is second in points in all of NCAA Women’s Division I hockey, recording 29 points in just 13 contests.
Kirsten's success extends beyond the collegiate level, having made her mark with Team USA at the U18 level earning both a gold and silver medal in 2020 and 2022, respectively. Her selection for the USA Senior National Team debut further solidifies her status as an exceptional athlete and marks a highly anticipated milestone in her promising career.
