St. Louis Blues and Blues Alumni donate to the TK Scholarship Fund

TPH St. Louis is excited to announce that Blues for Kids, the charitable arm of the St. Louis Blues, and Blues Alumni will make a $15,000 contribution to the TK Scholarship Fund to benefit local student-athletes at TPH Academy in St. Louis. 

The TK Scholarship Fund is awarded to student-athletes across TPH who live the “TK Way,” embodying the values of MAJ Thomas Kennedy. “TK” is remembered for his servant leadership, hard work, and dedication to his community. 

Randy Girsch, VP, Community Development and Event Management for the St. Louis Blues, shared, “We are proud to partner with TPH, an organization that provides new training opportunities for youth hockey players in the St. Louis area.”

St. Louis Blues Alumni, Bruce Affleck, continued, “We’re proud to partner with TPH to work with local student-athlets to improve their game, all while focusing on academics and developing life skills needed to be successful on and off the ice.”

This incredibly generous donation will enable more student-athletes to work towards their academic and athletic goals by attending TPH Academy in St. Louis for the 2022-23 school year. 

“I am extremely grateful to the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Blues Alumni Organizations for their support and generous contribution to the TK Scholarship Fund. This partnership will allow more local youth hockey players to attend our program, who may not have had the opportunity otherwise,” says Philip McRae, TPH St. Louis Vice President, Director, and Head of Hockey. 

McRae continues, “I believe our program has all the resources and support necessary for young and passionate student-athletes in St. Louis to pursue their academic and athletic goals and dreams. The St. Louis Blues and Blues Alumni do an unbelievable job in supporting youth hockey in St. Louis and assisting players in getting the greatest opportunity and resources to reach their full potential. We are thankful they are supporting us in doing that as well.”
