PITMAN, N.J.: Scholar Athletes Leadership Academy (SALA) has selected TPH Academy Online Powered by Subject as its Official Academic Provider for the 2026-27 school year, giving SALA scholar-athletes an academic experience built to keep pace with high-level training, competition, travel, and changing athletic goals.

SALA is a nationally accredited and state-registered private school district comprised of two independently accredited school campuses, serving student-athletes in Grades 4-12 from across the Northeast. For a decade, SALA has built a school experience that connects academics, athletics, and leadership development through individualized schedules, student agency, growth mindset, and daily professional training.

TPH Academy Online Powered by Subject is designed for student-athletes whose schedules do not fit a traditional school day. Through a private, fully accredited online academic experience, students can learn at an individualized pace around training, competition, travel, and other development opportunities while maintaining one consistent academic plan as their goals evolve.

That flexibility is supported by a 22-credit graduation path and 100+ middle and high school courses, including NCAA-approved core classes, AP and honors options, early college credit, foreign language, and custom electives. Subject is accredited by Cognia and WASC, while TPH Academy’s academic team supports transcript evaluation, course planning, NCAA eligibility, college applications, essays, and standardized testing.

Online does not mean alone. Students have access to live academic support Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CST, 24/7 Spark AI tutoring, and one-on-one Learning Lab tutoring with a 24-hour request turnaround. The mastery-based model focuses on demonstrated understanding rather than seat time, with progress monitoring and academic coaching to keep each student moving forward.

That academic support will seamlessly complement the comprehensive blended learning environment that SALA has built over the last decade. SALA will continue to lead onsite athletic training, student development, leadership, accountability, and day-to-day academic support. Together, the two teams will monitor progress, coordinate individualized academic plans, and help each student stay on track toward graduation, college, and life beyond sport.

SALA’s approach has produced a 100% graduation rate, a 100% four-year college acceptance rate, and a broad cohort of 52 professional sports contracts signed. Its club-neutral structure and flexible school day allow scholar-athletes to remain connected to their teams while pursuing athletic opportunities and academic growth.
