TPH Academy Expands Its Kansas City Impact with New Homefield Campus in Olathe
KANSAS CITY — TPH Academy is making a significant investment in the future of student-athlete development across the Kansas City metro with the launch of TPH Academy at Homefield, a new multi-sport campus located inside Homefield KC's premier facility in Olathe. Opening for the 2026-27 school year, the campus will serve baseball, softball, volleyball, and basketball student-athletes in grades 6 through 12, with additional sports planned.
This partnership creates one of the most robust student-athlete development networks in the region. With two TPH Academy locations now serving Kansas City, families have more opportunities than ever to choose the environment that best fits their sport, schedule, and daily commute, all while receiving the same customized academic experience and elite daily training that defines TPH Academy.
TPH Academy at Homefield creates a dedicated destination for diamond and court athletes, bringing together specialized coaching, integrated sports performance training, and flexible academics in one place. It's a model designed to help student-athletes maximize their development without sacrificing family time, academic goals, or the opportunity to compete with their local schools.
Families interested in learning more are invited to attend the TPH Academy at Homefield Virtual Info Session on June 25 at 7:00 PM CST, where leadership from TPH Academy and Homefield KC will share details on the program, daily schedules, facility plans, and how to begin the application process for the 2026-27 academic year.
TPH Academy at Homefield gives diamond and court athletes a dedicated environment designed specifically for their development. TPH Academy at Bluhawk will continue to thrive as the region's premier destination for hockey while also serving turf and court athletes in Overland Park. Together, the two campuses create one of the most comprehensive student-athlete development networks in the Kansas City metro.
TPH Academy and Homefield are investing heavily in the student-athlete experience. An immediate 3,000-square-foot renovation is underway to create a state-of-the-art academic learning center featuring modern technology, collaborative workspaces, and flexible environments designed to support both independent learning and small group instruction.
Student-athletes at Homefield will experience the tried-and-proven TPH Academy model, including 324 hours of integrated, sport-specific training and elite sports performance built directly into the school day. With more time available for homework, recovery, and family life, student-athletes can focus on their development without sacrificing balance.
The Homefield campus also brings a different approach to coaching. Instead of one coach managing every aspect of an athlete's development, student-athletes will work with a team of specialists who focus on specific skill areas. A baseball or softball athlete, for example, may train with separate coaches for hitting, fielding, pitching, and arm care, allowing for more individualized instruction and a stronger foundation for long-term growth.
Academically, student-athletes will be supported by a full-time, on-site Head of Academics who will lead the daily classroom experience and serve as a mentor throughout their educational journey. TPH Academy's customized academic model allows students to learn at their own pace while maintaining a strong focus on long-term educational goals and NCAA eligibility requirements. The result is a flexible environment that empowers student-athletes to succeed both in the classroom and in competition.
Student-athletes enrolled at TPH Academy Kansas City at Homefield will also benefit from the unique ability to remain eligible to compete for their resident public school scholastic sports teams. Current state guidelines in both Kansas and Missouri allow student-athletes to participate in a blended learning environment without sacrificing the opportunity to represent their schools alongside classmates and friends. This gives athletes the flexibility to maximize their elite training during the day while still enjoying the experience of competing with their high school teammates.
With the 2026-27 school year quickly approaching, applications are now open, and available spots are limited. Families interested in learning more are encouraged to submit an inquiry form to schedule a 20-minute introductory phone call with a member of the TPH Academy team.
Families are also invited to join the TPH Academy at Homefield team for a Virtual Info Session on June 25 at 7:00 PM CST to hear directly from TPH and Homefield leadership, explore the facility plans, review the daily schedule, and learn more about the application and enrollment process, holistic development, mentorship, and student-athlete advancement. Attendees will also gain insight into how this new opportunity is redefining the student-athlete experience in Kansas City.
Additional information, inquiry forms, and registration for the Virtual Info Session are available at tphacademy.com or homefieldkc.com.
