OLATHE, Kan. | TPH Academy Kansas City at Homefield has named Dallas Reed as Head of Baseball ahead of the campus’s inaugural academic year. Reed returns to Homefield, where he previously coached, to lead the daily baseball development experience for aspiring elite student-athletes in grades 6 through 12. He brings expanded experience and a modern approach focused on preparing players to reach the next level.

Reed brings an accomplished résumé as a player, coach, recruiter, and player representative. Most recently, he served as the Kansas state coordinator for the High School National Championship Series, leading Team Kansas to the 2026 Series National Championship. He has also served as an assistant coach with the Great Britain National Team and is a certified player agent, giving him a valuable perspective on the development, preparation, and exposure required to advance through every level of the game.

Before entering the coaching ranks, Reed completed a five-year collegiate playing career at Mt. San Antonio College and Pittsburg State University. He was a two-time All-MIAA selection and earned Second-Team All-Region honors at Pitt State, starting all 96 games of his Gorillas career while recording 96 runs and 88 RBI. During the 2017 season, he led the team with a .373 batting average while adding 17 doubles, eight home runs, 51 RBI and 23 multi-hit games.

Reed returned to Pitt State as an assistant coach for three seasons, working with hitters and infielders before joining the NCAA Division I staff at Tarleton State. As Tarleton’s recruiting coordinator and an assistant coach focused on hitting and defense, he helped the Texans hit 69 home runs in 2022, the third-highest total in the Western Athletic Conference and the program’s most since 2018. He also helped multiple players reach career highs, including London Green, whose 17 home runs ranked second in Tarleton single-season history.

That experience shapes Reed’s modern approach to hitting development. He combines swing mechanics, offensive approach and ball-flight data to help players understand their performance and make measurable progress. Just as importantly, he brings the energy and ability to connect with student-athletes that turns daily training into lasting development.

TPH Academy at Homefield represents the next step in TPH Academy’s continued growth and impact across the Kansas City area. Located inside Homefield’s 270,000-square-foot Olathe Training Center, the new campus brings TPH Academy’s Study, Train, Play model to student-athletes through customized, NCAA-approved academics, on-site support, sport-specific instruction and targeted strength and conditioning. The expansion follows the successful inaugural year of TPH Academy Kansas City at Bluhawk and extends the Academy experience to more student-athletes and families throughout the region. Its structured daily schedule is designed to maximize development while giving families their evenings back.
