Student-Athletes Who Inspire: TPH Academy Announces 2024-2025 Impact Players of the Year
TPH Academy is honored to announce the recipients of its 3rd Annual Impact Player of the Year awards. This year, TPH recognizes six exceptional student-athletes who demonstrate what it means to be an Impact Player—in and beyond the game—for their consistent academic and athletic excellence, dedication to serving their communities, and leadership and support of their peers.
Each TPH Academy Impact Player of the Year award recipient will receive scholarship dollars for the next academic year, a TPH Academy apparel stipend, and a plaque to commemorate their achievement. They will also be featured on the cover of TPH’s annual Impact Report and invited—along with their families—to celebrate their accomplishments on a video call with TPH Academy CEO, Alan Keeso.
“These awards are a celebration of the remarkable student-athletes who give their best day in and day out at TPH. They lead by example in the classroom, in competition, and in their communities,” shared Alan Keeso, CEO of TPH Academy. “Their drive, character, and commitment to making an impact embody everything we stand for at TPH. We’re incredibly proud of who they are today and excited for the impact they’ll make in the future.”
Being an Impact Player at TPH Academy means more than success in the classroom and on the ice, field, or court—it means showing up for others, elevating the team, and creating a lasting difference in their community. The Impact Player of the Year honor recognizes student-athletes who lead with character, serve with heart, and work relentlessly to become the best versions of themselves while helping others do the same.
Congratulations to the 2024-2025 TPH Academy Impact Players of the Year:
Camden Alemond – TPH Academy St. Louis (Class of 2026)
Camden Alemond is a standout student-athlete with a perfect 4.0 GPA and an equally impressive resume on the ice. Competing at the highest level of youth hockey, Camden recorded 30 goals and 60 points in 50 games this season. His performance earned him MVP and leading scorer honors in the Tier 1 Elite League playoffs. However, Camden’s impact reaches far beyond the scoreboard. He serves on the Academy Leadership Board, mentors younger peers through the Big Brother program, and regularly participates in community outreach efforts, including food drives and support for foster homes. Through every challenge and opportunity, Camden’s consistency, discipline, and quiet leadership set a powerful example for his peers.
Samuel Porterfield – TPH Academy Kansas City (Class of 2027)
Samuel Porterfield leads by example in every environment he enters. As the first recipient of the Kansas City Impact Player Award, Samuel has consistently demonstrated leadership in the classroom and, through his actions, has fostered a sense of inclusivity among all student-athletes. Athletically, he serves as the lead-off hitter for his high school JV baseball team and was recruited to play for a national-level travel team. Samuel is also a champion for the community—he has supported organizations such as Wayside Waifs and Happy Bottoms and is known for bridging the gap between hockey and non-hockey athletes, contributing greatly to the inclusive and positive culture at TPH Kansas City.
Elizabeth “Ellie” Eaves – TPH Academy Nashville (Class of 2028)
A multi-sport athlete and academic standout, Elizabeth “Ellie” Eaves excels across the board. She maintains an A average while competing in both ice hockey and varsity rugby. As captain of her rugby team and a USA Hockey Skills Competition nominee, Ellie leads with grit, speed, and a desire to improve every day. Beyond athletics, she’s deeply involved in her community, mentoring younger athletes and advocating for girls in sport. Her volunteerism extends to multiple local organizations, and her efforts have created opportunities for others while lifting those around her. Ellie’s commitment to leadership, self-improvement, and service make her a true role model.
Eshan Sanjay – TPH Academy Waterloo Region (Class of 2028)
Eshan Sanjay embodies the principles of self-discipline, humility, and perseverance. As he transitioned into high school, Eshan maintained academic excellence, earning the Academic Impact Player of the Month, and regularly sought feedback to keep growing. Athletically, his tireless work ethic propelled him from AA to AAA goalie status in a fiercely competitive year. Off the ice, Eshan models leadership through service, donating half of his personal earnings to local food banks and shelters. His maturity, compassion, and focus serve as an inspiration to his peers and coaches alike.
Marlie Kubaliak – TPH Academy Huntsville (Class of 2027)
Marlie Kubaliak is an exceptional student-athlete whose résumé speaks volumes. A straight-A student on Distinguished Honors, she’s also dually enrolled at the University of North Alabama. On the ice, she competed at the 2024 USA Hockey Girls National 15 camp and helped lead her team to a USA Hockey Chipotle 16U National Championship. Marlie’s impact goes even further—she’s dedicated to growing the hockey community through mentoring and coaching younger athletes and is widely respected for her leadership, humility, and kindness. She exemplifies what it means to lead with integrity and give back to the game that has given her so much.
