About Madelyn Sheppard
Originally from the small town of Alliston, Ontario, Madelyn Sheppard joins TPH Academy as an Academic Success Coach with a passion for holistic student development. She moved to Kingston to pursue her higher education, successfully earning both a Bachelor of Arts Honors in Drama and a Bachelor of Education. Currently, Madelyn is an Ontario Certified Teacher with a diverse range of teaching experience across multiple age groups and subject areas. Furthermore, she recently spent a year teaching internationally in Thailand, where she instructed students in math, English, and social studies.
This international tenure enriched her global perspective on education and strengthened her ability to adapt to diverse teaching environments and unique learning needs. Notably, Madelyn attended an academy-style professional ballet school during her youth, providing her with firsthand experience in balancing rigorous academics with intensive physical training. Because she has navigated the high-pressure world of elite performance, she can deeply relate to the daily lives of the student-athletes at TPH. Additionally, she remained an active member of her university’s dance team, where she continued to successfully balance her studies with her athletic passions.
In her role at TPH Academy, Madelyn is dedicated to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports each student’s individual journey. She thrives on building strong relationships and empowering students to exceed their own expectations through creativity and commitment. Moreover, her background in education and the arts allows her to bring a unique energy to the classroom to promote consistent academic growth. As a result, she is well-equipped to support student-athletes in achieving their full potential both in the classroom and beyond.
Ultimately, Madelyn’s blend of certified teaching expertise and personal experience in the performing arts makes her a vital asset to the TPH community. She remains committed to helping athletes develop the disciplined habits necessary for long-term success in all areas of life.
