About Frank Anzalone

Frank Anzalone is a legendary figure in the world of hockey coaching and player development. Specifically, he is most recognized for leading Lake Superior State University to its first NCAA Division-I National Championship in 1988. This historic victory cemented his reputation as one of the most tactical and disciplined coaches in the collegiate game.

Following his success at the college level, Anzalone transitioned into professional hockey leadership roles. He coached in the ECHL and served as a scout for several NHL organizations over his extensive career. Consequently, he developed a deep understanding of the talent pipeline from youth ranks to the professional stage.

Regarding his coaching philosophy, Frank emphasizes strong defensive structures and relentless work ethics. He has mentored hundreds of players who eventually reached the highest levels of the sport.
