About Alex Weissenborn

Alex Weissenborn, a native of St. Charles, Missouri, serves as the Assistant Goalie Coach for the TPH Academy in St. Louis. Regarding his professional journey, he has come full circle with the Racine Goalie Academy after training there as a student for ten years. He currently utilizes his extensive experience to mentor and develop the next generation of academy goaltenders on a daily basis.

Before joining the TPH staff, Alex enjoyed a standout youth career with the St. Louis AAA Blues and the Chesterfield Falcons. He later competed in the junior ranks for the Willmar Warhawks and the Dells Ducks before advancing to Lawrence Tech University. Following a successful collegiate playing career, he transitioned into coaching to share his technical knowledge with aspiring elite athletes.

In the fall of 2024, Alex joined the NCAA Division-I coaching staff at Lindenwood University as a goaltending coach. Notably, he was recently retained for the 2025-2026 season to continue his work with the Lions’ men’s hockey program. Today, he balances his collegiate duties with his role at TPH, ensuring that St. Louis goalies receive premier technical instruction and mentorship.
