Chicago, IL — Susan Magill has spent her career designing learning environments that adapt to the evolving needs of modern students. Now, as the newly appointed Director and Head of Academics at Windy City Storm Academy Powered by TPH, she’s bringing that same innovation and energy to a place where academic growth and athletic ambition go hand in hand.
A Chicagoland native, Magill brings over 12 years of experience in educational leadership, having crafted award-winning school systems and developed academic models that prepare students for life in a rapidly changing world. With degrees in Journalism and Communications, Business Management, and Education, she’s a proven expert in curriculum development, differentiated instruction, and college readiness.
What sets Susan apart is her deep connection to the student-athlete journey. Having balanced academics and competition herself, she understands the pressures student-athletes face—and how to help them succeed with confidence, clarity, and support.
“This role is incredibly personal for me,” shared Magill. “I know what it feels like to push for excellence in both academics and athletics—and how important it is to have mentors who believe in your ability to do both. I’m excited to build an environment where student-athletes feel seen, supported, and set up to reach their full potential, in sport and in life.”
